Cooking 101

In this introductory cooking workshop, we will cover basic knife skills, cooking with oils and butter as well as sauteing.

In this workshop, we will use tacos as a means to teach you how to chop mince, dice, and julienne. What different knives and pans are used for. How various oils cook differently and how to season and saute meats and vegetables. There will be a variety of ingredients to customize your tacos, vegan-friendly options included. And of course, we will eat and enjoy!

There will be coffee, 2 people per workstation, (burner, pan, knife and cutting board) and community clean up at the end.

Please let us know of any dietary restrictions you may have and wear comfortable closed toed foot ware.
