Intro to Makerspace Sewing w/ Tara Webb & Susan Smythe
Wed. October 23, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Beardsley MakerSpace (Room 102)

Did you know the Makerspace on campus has sewing machines? If you’re interested in learning more, register for this brief intro into the workings of what’s available for your class projects and more!

Learn some sewing basics such as mending, hemming, and fasteners. Bring an item to mend and we’ll set you up to repair your own clothes! Common repairs include repairing holes in jeans, sewing on buttons, and darning sweater holes - so look in your closet and see if you have an item that you love and needs a new life. We’ll also offer a couple of demos on basic machine sewing, and a quick demo on wearable tech using conductive thread to power Arduinos! Space is limited!
